We’re A WunderKeys Studio

Hood Studios is proud to be a Wunderkeys studio! This is a phenomenal approach to piano by curriculum expert Andrea Dow. WunderKeys currently offers curriculum from preschool aged through older teen and adult beginners. WunderKeys for Preschoolers has engaging music designed specifically for the preschool aged student keeping in mind where they are at developmentally. Using a variety of songs, “off-the-bench” activities, and the piano, preschool students learn how to master skills that prepare them for future piano endeavors.This fun approach allows for preschoolers to be preschoolers while teaching them about important music concepts and playing skills.

For our elementary aged beginner students, WunderKeys Primer follows similar lesson structure as in the preschool curriculum with games and fun activities that engages each student in a creative way. Each student works their way through the colorful, story-like Primer book learning the skills needed to be a great pianist. This is NOT your average piano lesson and your family will enjoy this fun approach to learning a new instrument!

For older teens and adults, Wunderkeys may not have the games, but it is FUN! Featuring "pop sessions", this curriculum introduces things like scales and chord playing using classical themes weaved into a pop style that is both engaging and enjoyable to play. Learning music theory doesn't have to be boring and this curriculum proves it. It is never too late to learn a new instrument.
